Research Interest:

My research is focused on unraveling complexity of biological systems, particularly from coastal (e.g. mangroves) and deep-sea environments using taxonomic and molecular tools (e.g. DNA barcoding) and the role of environmental factors including nutrients (e.g. carbon and nitrogen) in shaping structure and function of biological systems from these environments. I also investigate the cellular and physiological response of marine microbial communities including photosynthetic microbial eukaryotes [e.g. phytoplankton] under ocean acidification scenarios using genomics and integrative taxonomic approaches. I also explore the functional roles of microbial communities such as arsenite oxidizing bacteria in arsenic biogeochemical cycling. For further information please visit our lab webpage pbhadury.googlepages.com
